Altaban

Capital of the Bakshevan Empire, and home to its Emperor, or "Parech". Known for its extremely tall towers, as mentioned in Travels in the Northlands.

The Alatien tell the tale of a stubborn mule from Altaban. This may be a reference to the Biblical tale of Balaam's ass and the Angel (Num. 21-34).
