Katja Koopmann
From TLJwiki
Katja Koopmann did a brief stint as a real-world April Ryan in the lead up to the release of The Longest Journey. German publisher Egmont Interactive fancied the idea of duplicating the pop culture success of Lara Croft, who has had several real-world iterations.
Born in Bremen on the 25th of January, 1977. Katja was studying Psychology at the University of Bremen when a friend entered her into a competition to find the 'face' of TLJ, which she won. She is 170cm tall, and her measurements are 90/65/90. She had to cut her long hair short for the role, and was always seen wearing the outfit April bought to visit Grendel Avenue.
Katja's details listed that she enjoyed sports, playing the piano and singing. This latter came in handy for the ill-fated single release she recorded her voice on: a cover of Depeche Mode's 'Get The Balance Right' that was released on 14th April, 2000. It featured 6 remixes as B-sides, and apparently bombed on the charts. She toured numerous venues on the publicity circuit, apparently including an appearance on NBC Europe dancing and singing her single.
