Grr to Mediawiki, but I'll add all pages and random page, etc to the toolbox later. Requires scripting which I'm too tired to muster. --WikiSysop 02:18, 16 January 2006 (EST)
Dreamfall spoilers
I'd propose we create a Dreamfall-spoiler-start and a Dreamfall-spoiler-end templates and enforce the strict policy of tagging all Dreamfall spoilers instead of banning them outright. :) --Koveras 12:54, 19 April 2006 (EDT)
Here are two solid suggestions, as to how to realize such a thing. This is how it should look like in the "source code" of the article.
{{Dreamfall-spoiler-start}}
Spoiler text.
{{Dreamfall-spoiler-end}}
This is how it can look like formatted. First option (traditional style spoiler tags):
-
- WARNING: Dreamfall spoilers follow!
-
Spoiler text.
-
- Dreamfall spoilers end here.
-
Second option (more radical spoiler tags) implies hiding the spoiler text inside the tag using JavaScript property "style.display" but I cannot realize it here because of some security options. I guess it has to be implemented into the js-files of the Wiki-engine. :)
And also propose a template for Dreamfall-exclusive articles, so that we don't have to mark an encase the entire article with spoiler tags. It can look like this:
{{Dreamfall}}
| WARNING: This article deals with a Dreamfall-exclusive topic! The text is very likely to contain serious spoilers! |
Please, tell me what you think. --Koveras 04:54, 6 May 2006 (EDT)
--- I think we should go for the second option as it is very important for many people not to see the spoilers; IMDB has such an option. Sinan
Avoid creating pages?
Hi there,
I'm new to this wiki, but I'm familiar with the mediawiki markup and have done editing on other wikis. I really enjoyed the game and wanted to pitch in to help build TLJwiki. I was wondering about the comment on the main page asking people to avoid creating pages for the sake of "findability". Does that mean that I should not create (for example) a page called "Reza" with just a redirect to the Reza Temiz article?
Thanks,

Yes, that's what it refers to. Thanks for asking first. : ) And welcome! -Tullis
